Making Beeswax paper

We have considered the idea of making our papers waterproof as well as compostable to add another element of value for florists who opt for our papers to wrap their flowers. Waterproofing the paper using beeswax is an eco-friendly option (which is also biodegradable and compostable) which makes the paper reusable.

The first step is to melt beeswax in a crockpot.

The paper is then dipped into the beeswax one end at a time.

After the paper has cooled off then it is protected and waterproof.
