Today's goals were to try making the paper, ink, and go down to Yvette's Florist.
We only had 2 jars for the inks so will start with 2 for now, and make more should they work well. (Fingers crossed they do!) We followed the simplest recipe that we'd found in our initial ideation stage on garden collage: http://gardencollage.com/inspire/art-design/write-letter-floral-ink/
As crimeful as it seems and felt - we had to take the beautiful flower petals and mash them down. Then cover the in boiling water and sit them in the sun.
So brew little babies, brew. We can't wait to see how you come out!
Then we put our plant material on the stove for the paper recipe.
But its taking ages to boil, stinks and we don't actually have all the other materials to turn it into paper...
Then we went to Yvette's Florist and had a chat to her which really helped our project gain a good sense of purpose and direction!
